Customer questions

How long does shipping take?

Orders ship within 24 hours of being placed. Standard delivery typically arrives in 3-7 business days depending on your location. Shipping is free worldwide on every order — no minimum required.

Will this pillow work for my sleep position?

Yes — this is one of the few pillows actually designed for every sleep position. The dual-height design gives you a softer lower side ideal for back and stomach sleepers, plus a higher side with shoulder hug zones for side sleepers. You don't have to pick a "type" at checkout — just flip the pillow to the side that fits how you're sleeping that night.

Is it too firm or too soft?

It's medium-firm — supportive enough to hold its shape and keep your spine aligned all night, but soft enough that the memory foam contours to your head and shoulders. Most customers describe it as "structured but cradling." If you've struggled with pillows that flatten or feel like a slab of foam, this lands in the middle.

Does it sleep hot?

No — and this is one of the most common worries with memory foam. The breathable cover uses airy, ventilation-friendly fibers that release heat in summer, while the foam core itself is engineered for airflow. Customers in warm climates and hot sleepers consistently report it stays cool through the night.

How long does it take to get used to?

Most sleepers feel the difference on night one — particularly if you've been waking up with neck or shoulder tension. A small percentage need 3-7 nights to fully adjust as their muscles relearn proper alignment. If you've spent years on a flat or worn-out pillow, expect a brief adjustment as your body settles into a healthier sleep posture.

Can I wash the pillow cover?

Yes — the outer cover is fully removable and machine-washable. There's also a protective inner cover that shields the memory foam core, so the foam itself stays clean and protected over time. We recommend washing the outer cover every 2-4 weeks to keep things fresh.

What's it made of? Is it safe?

Premium memory foam core with a breathable, removable cover. We hold five independent eco-safety certifications: CertiPUR-US®, OEKO-TEX®, CE Mark, REACH, and RoHS — meaning the foam is tested for harmful substances, low VOC emissions, and overall material safety. No off-gassing, no questionable chemicals, no shortcuts.

Learn more about cervical pillows

New to ergonomic pillows? Here's a deeper guide on how cervical and memory foam pillows work, who they're for, and how proper neck support changes how you sleep.

What is a cervical pillow?

A cervical pillow is shaped to support the natural curve of your neck — what doctors call the cervical spine — while you sleep. Standard pillows compress flat and let your head sink, leaving your neck unsupported for hours. A cervical pillow keeps your head and neck in proper alignment all night, which is why people who switch usually notice less morning stiffness within the first week.

How is a cervical pillow different from a regular pillow?

Regular pillows are made from loose fibers or fluff that compresses unevenly under your head. By 2 AM, the support you started with is gone. Cervical pillows are engineered with a contoured shape that holds its structure all night — so the support you have when you fall asleep is the same support you have when you wake up.

Are cervical pillows good for neck pain?

For most people, yes. Neck pain that develops or worsens overnight is typically caused by poor alignment — the head bent forward, backward, or sideways for hours at a time. A cervical pillow holds the head in a neutral position, which removes the strain that causes morning stiffness. 94% of our customers report less neck pain after switching.

Who should use a cervical pillow?

Anyone who wakes up with a stiff neck, sore shoulders, or morning headaches. Side sleepers and back sleepers benefit most because alignment is critical in those positions. Office workers, desk sitters, and anyone who carries tension in their neck during the day also benefit — overnight is when your body actually has time to recover, but only if it's supported properly.

Are memory foam pillows better than fiber pillows?

For neck support, yes — by a lot. Fiber pillows fluff up beautifully when new, but they flatten within 6-12 months and stop supporting your neck. Memory foam responds to your body heat and weight, contours precisely to your head and neck, and bounces back every morning. A good memory foam pillow lasts years; a fiber pillow is a yearly replacement.

What's the right pillow height for me?

It depends on how you sleep. Side sleepers need a higher pillow to fill the space between the shoulder and the neck — typically 4-6 inches. Back sleepers need a lower profile, around 3-4 inches, to keep the head from tilting forward. Stomach sleepers need the lowest profile possible. The Better Sleep Pillow has two heights built in, so you don't have to commit to one — flip it depending on how you're sleeping that night.

Can the wrong pillow actually cause neck pain?

Yes. A pillow that's too high pushes your head forward into a permanent chin-tuck position. Too low, and your head tilts backward all night. Too soft, and your head sinks at uneven angles. Any of these creates strain on the muscles, ligaments, and discs of your cervical spine — and 8 hours of strain, 365 nights a year, adds up fast.

How long does a memory foam pillow last?

A quality memory foam pillow lasts 3-5 years with normal use — three to five times longer than a typical fiber pillow. The protective inner liner and removable, washable cover help extend that life further by keeping the foam itself clean and protected from oils and moisture.

Are ergonomic pillows medically approved?

Ergonomic pillows aren't classified as medical devices, but they're designed using the same principles physiotherapists, chiropractors, and posture specialists apply when treating neck and shoulder issues. The Better Sleep Pillow was developed in collaboration with physiotherapists who specialize in spinal alignment.

What makes Plush Lab pillows different?

Most ergonomic pillows are designed for one type of sleeper. Ours works for every type — back, side, and stomach — through a dual-height design and contoured shape that adapts to how you actually sleep. Built-in massage ridges add a feature you won't find in other pillows: gentle, sustained pressure on the muscles physios target during manual neck therapy. Five independent eco-safety certifications. Free worldwide shipping. The last pillow most of our customers say they'll need to buy.
